YOUTH SERVICES

Family Life offers a variety of services for youth ages 13-18 years including counselling and support groups for teens 14 years of age and older. For more information, follow the link to Programs and Services, or please give us a call.
 

Volunteer Counselling Program for Youth

 

Family Life has a well established Volunteer Counselling Program for youth from 14 years through 19 years of age. After teens reach adulthood they may participate in the Adult Volunteer Counselling Program. Anyone may approach Family Life to acquire these services including family members, teachers, and fellow teens.

Volunteer Counselling is based on principles that produce trust and confidence. Our "affordable" (sliding scale) services include such areas of concern as:

  •   Building Self Esteem

  •   Establishing Healthy Relationships

  •   Problem Solving

  •   Anger and Conflict Management

  •   Assertiveness

  •   Understanding and Dealing With Emotions

  •   Coping With Parents and Family

  •   Dealing With Depression

  •   Effective Communication

Teen Mediation Services

 

Teenagers and adults often find themselves unable to successfully address differences or needs.  The Teen Mediation Service is available upon request to help youth and the adults in their lives, discover or negotiate solutions to problems, differences with others, etc.
