Are you a senior isolating during the Covid-19 pandemic? We’re here to help!
We’ve partnered with United Way and BC211 to offer support during this pandemic. To sign-up, simply follow this link!
In response to the need for physical distancing, we have a list of services that we can offer with minimal or no contact, each of which are outlined below:
Grocery Shopping Pickup and Delivery–
Tuesdays: Dufferin Country Grocer
Thursdays: Superstore
Fridays: Country Club Save-On Foods
Once registered for our grocery service, a SSSC volunteer will call the client the day before their scheduled grocery shop to receive the grocery list.
NFLA will initially pay for groceries; clients will reimburse the agency. The volunteer will deliver groceries and the receipt.
Payment is collected by NFLA bookkeeper the next business day. We accept E-transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and cheque.
Meal Preparation–
Deliveries of prepared meals occur each Thursday. Menu options are available from Coco Café and Nanaimo Foodshare.
To find out the upcoming week’s menu, contact Sacia Burton: s_burton@nflabc.org or (250) 754-3331 ext. 203
Virtual Friendly Visiting–

Transportation is available on a case-by-case basis. We require a minimum of 48 hours notice when planning transportation for clients. Call Shanan at (250) 754-3331 ext. 202 if you are in need of transportation.
