We are looking for volunteers for our Transportation Department!

We’re looking for kind-hearted volunteers to help drive seniors to appointments and assist with grocery shopping. This simple act of kindness can make a world of difference – ensuring older adults don’t miss out on important medical care and keeping their homes stocked with fresh food. It’s more than just a trip to the corner store; it’s about helping elders stay connected to the world around them. These interactions can be a lifeline, empowering their independence and dignity. We are looking for volunteers in our Food Security department!

Grocery delivery programs for marginalized seniors are an incredible source of emotional support, offering much more than just the essentials needed for daily life. For many older adults, these deliveries are a heartfelt gesture that reminds them they are cared for and that their well-being truly matters. Receiving a bag of fresh groceries brings a sense of connection, showing that someone has taken the time to ensure they have what they need. It’s not just about food—it’s about feeling valued, respected, and seen. These deliveries bring comfort and relief, offering a deep emotional impact that helps seniors maintain their independence while feeling supported and uplifted, reinforcing their sense of dignity and belonging in the community. We are looking for volunteers to join us on Tuesday mornings for approximately two hours to grocery shop and deliver essentials to seniors in our community. If you’re interested in lending a helping hand, please consider joining us! Your presence can make all the difference in someone’s day, bringing not only nourishment but the warmth of connection.

We are looking for volunteers for our Friendly Visiting Program!

Friendly visiting programs offer seniors a powerful connection to the world around them, reminding them that they are valued members of their communities. For many older adults, these visits are a vital source of companionship, providing meaningful interaction that combats isolation and fosters a sense of belonging. Through the simple act of sharing stories, laughter, and time together, these programs help seniors feel seen and heard, empowering them to continue participating in the life of their community. Far from being passive, these seniors find strength and joy in these relationships, reconnecting with a network of support and friendship that reinforces their dignity and resilience, and proving that no one is ever truly alone when community and compassion are at the heart of the journey.
